- Police release CCTV footage of armed robbery in September
The GMP have released CCTV footage of the armed robbery which took place outside a One Stop in Urmston in September.
The three men, armed with knives, held up a delivery driver outside the store on 28 September, taking a large quantity of cigarettes from the truck.
They then made off in a green Ford Focus estate car, in the direction of Stretford Road.
Police are appealing for information and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has any information about the Ford Focus, which had a registration plate starting with X497.
The first offender was wearing a ski mask, a dark-coloured jacket and a light-coloured hood, climbed on to the tailgate of the truck, with the second wearing a light-coloured hoody. The third was in the getaway car during this time.
Detective constable Paul Calderbank, of GMP’s Trafford borough, said: “This was a pre-meditated robbery where the offenders have targeted a delivery truck and brandished a dangerous weapon at two people who were left understandably shaken.
“I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident, particularly the vehicle they used, to please get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 and quote the reference number 616 of 28/09/16, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
