Already, we’ve seen seismic changes in Greater Manchester councils. Reform UK has made unprecedented gains in previous Labour-heavy areas, including Wigan, Salford, and Tameside.

The biggest change thus far has been Tameside, where Reform UK won 18 out of 19 available seats, thus ending 47-years of Labour control.

Meanwhile, Liberal Democrats have also made history by seising majority control in Stockport for the first time in 15 years, winning 33 seats.
