- Police advises association on safety
The Football Association has announced that this year’s highly anticipated FA Cup final clash between Manchester City and Manchester United will commence at 3pm on May 25.
The decision to maintain the traditional kick-off time, reflecting last year’s showdown at Wembley Stadium between the same two clubs, comes after consultation with the police, local authorities, and broadcasters.
In recent years, the FA has favoured early evening kick-offs for the final. However, following police advice, the association reverted to the traditional time slot last year, a decision that has been upheld for the upcoming final.
A statement released by the FA reads: “The kick-off time for the final has now been officially confirmed as 3pm BST, which was agreed with the clubs, local authority, members of the Safety Advisory Group and broadcasters.”
Football fans across the globe can anticipate an electrifying match as the fierce Manchester rivals vie for the prestigious FA Cup title at Wembley Stadium.
