Andy Burnham has taken an unusual approach to building his election manifesto.
The Labour Party candidate for the Greater Manchester Mayoral elections has been asking the public to help build his election manifesto, holding meetings with members of the community to find out what their concerns for the borough are.
The NQ caught up with Burnham and his election team at one of these events, held at the Science and Industry Museum.
The MP for Leigh made it clear that young people were going to be a priority in his election pledge, saying that "This Government has made young people a target for cuts. I'm going to make them a priority."
Transport and infrastructure reform was also heavily referenced in the process of building the Labour candidate's manifesto.
