- Flights will commence in April 2019
Ryanair announced yesterday (20 Nov) that they will be launching a new route between Manchester and Kiev as part of its summer schedule for 2019.
Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said in a press release: “We are pleased to announce another new Manchester route and our first from the North West to Kyiv.”
The new route will launch in April next year and Manchester will be one of four European cities connected to the Ukrainian capital by the airline, along with Larnaca, Athens and Sofia. It is one of 62 new routes being introduced to Manchester for next summer.
Justin Carr, the Aviation Director for Manchester, said: “Kyiv is currently unserved and this route will open up the Ukraine for the 22 million people in our catchment area.”
The route will be flown twice weekly and to celebrate the launch, Ryanair are offering a sale on bookings between April and June 2019 with seats starting at £5. The sale will end at midnight tonight and the airline is urging customers to get in fast if they don’t want to miss out.
The sale also runs alongside a further ‘Cyber Week Sale’ centring around Black Friday with over 250,000 seat prices being slashed to as little as £4.99.
