A gym in Crumpsall is providing free private personal training sessions for people with physical and mental disabilities.
J7 Health is run by Javeno Mclean, who told Northern Quota: “I had written down the vision of what I wanted J7 to be in my mum’s kitchen, so what you see out there is exactly as I had written it down those years ago.”
Javeno , 37 worked with the council to run exercise classes before he saw the opportunity to start his own business.

Classes were initially were offered to OAPs.
“Those people from the community followed me here, and it’s a gift that I get the opportunity to help them individually now,” Javeno said.
He offers one-to-one gym sessions to people receiving cancer treatment, suffering from a stroke, and those with Parkinsons and Alzhiemers.
Javeno says he would “never going to take a penny from anyone disabled or with cancer.”
He said helping people had motivated him to become Great Britain DeadLift Champion.
“They have a different strength which makes me think, why can’t I lift this little bar?,” he said.
