Man viciously attacked with machete in Salford
Man left in a serious condition after getting dragged out of his car and viciously attacked with a machete on Tuesday evening in Salford.
After arriving at his home on Rodney Street at 8:30pm, the victim was dragged from his car by one or two offenders who attacked the man with a machette.
After repeatedly striking the man, they fled the scene, leaving the man in with severe injuries.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment, but remains in a serious condition.
Inspector Mark Toker of GMP’s Salford borough, said: “I cannot imagine how terrified he must have been when he was dragged from the security of his own car and repeatedly attacked by these offenders.
“Their decision to flee from the scene means that we need the public’s help to identify who these people are and understand how this assault could have happened.”
