The Bollocks to Brexit bus visited Manchester as part of its European tour to encourage debate around Brexit and the benefits of remaining in the EU.
Visiting Fallowfield and the Palace Theatre, the campaigners told the public that ‘it’s not a done deal’ and encouraged supporters to write to their MPs to demand a final say on the Brexit deal.
The stops featured talks from Richard Kilpatrick, a Liberal Democrat councillor for Didsbury West, and performances from activist Madeleina Kay and singing Boris Johnson impersonator Drew Galdon.
Pauline di Chiara, campaigner for Manchester for Europe and Stockport for Europe, said: “[The Leave Campaign] was absolutely built on lies and I think that’s what really got me more than anything, the injustice of the whole thing.
“This is going to be undeliverable, what people are asking for, because it’s a load of lies. It is political, moral and economic suicide for this country.
“It’s about time people took responsibility for their own actions and blamed themselves and their own government when things went wrong.”
The tour ran throughout December and featured stops across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, including Brussels for the European council summit.
