Retail workers’ mental health focus of new student-led campaign
- NQ officially launched it's Mental Shift campaign today
- The campaign, led by MMU student Ramazani Mwamba, focuses on the strain the Christmas period can bring to the mental health of retail workers
With the Christmas period in full swing and retail stores at the busiest, take a moment to think about the mental health of sop assistants and the struggles they face.
The Northern Quota today launched its campaign, Mental Shift, which seeks to highlight the pressures retails workers can come under.
We feature interviews from retail workers who discuss how their work affects them mentally, their worst shift experiences and what they do to combat stress.
There is also a profile on organisations which help such as, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, an organisation that trains companies on how to deal with and help employees that suffer from mental health.
The campaign looks at the companies and what they have to offer.
This campaign is all about catering to retail workers, a central place where they can read about topical news to do with the advancement in the conversation of mental health in the workplace as well as retail, listen to and see information which will help them.
