Featuring Christmas classics Home Alone and Elf
Sheffield-based The Village Screen is hosting two pop-up cinema events at the stunning, Grade II listed, Manchester Victoria Baths next weekend, on Friday and Saturday December
There will be screenings of Christmas classics Home Alone, on the Friday evening, and Elf on the Saturday evening.
Both events will kick off with sets from local DJs and street food by Dim Sum Su and Proove Pizza, plus a full stocked bar serving prosecco, wines and craft beers. Audiences will be seated on beautiful vintage deckchairs in the gala pool, as well as on the mezzanine level above the pool to watch the films on a 16ft screen.
The Village Screen has been transforming the pop-up cinema scene in Sheffield over the past 18 months, screening iconic films on car park rooftops, in outdoor swimming pools, disused warehouse spaces and woodland areas. After the success of screening Jaws at Victoria Baths in September they are excited to be returning to the Baths for Christmas and look forward to turning the Baths into a Christmas cinema.
Both Home Alone and Elf are classified PG, so the event will be child-friendly, however, there is a minimum age of 12 for these events and children between 12 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Unfortunately, all the tickets are sold out, but The NQ will be bringing you a full report from the Saturday's showing of Elf, so keep your eyes peeled!
