Manchester Met Athletes ‘Striving for Greatness’
- More than 60 students to attend the largest multi-sport event in the UK
- Three-day tournament is the biggest event in the BUCS calendar
- Students compete in 8 sports over three days.
The 2020 British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) National Championships will see more than 60 students from Manchester Metropolitan descend upon Sheffield to compete in the three-day sporting event.
Our reporter Max Yeatman met 60m sprinter and future GB Olympic hopeful, Sagesse ‘Sanchez’ Nguie to discuss his upcoming debut at the championships on 14-16 February. As well as athletics, other sports at the event are swimming, badminton, karate, judo, short range rifle, fencing and climbing.
Max also caught up with Joe Wharton and Callum Jones to discuss the hopes for Manchester Met’s sports this coming weekend, as they preview the upcoming sports action.
