Man Met student wins competition to visit Cannes Film Festival

  • Cannes Film Festival gives away 1,000 three day passes
  • Student talks about how she won her way to Cannes

A Manchester Metropolitan student has won a competition to receive a ticket to Cannes Film Festival.

23-year-old Cassandra Hyde who studies MA journalism, is the first student at the institution to win a place for three days at The festival de Cannes.

The opportunity was open to 18-28 year olds who were ‘passionate about film’ and the first time they have ever launched something like this.

The programme was a chance for young film lovers to experience the selection of films before anybody else. NQ met up with Cass to discuss how the opportunity came about for her.
