Manchester mental health charity launches online festival to highlight the ‘Manc Spirit’

  • Mental health charity MancSpirit showcasing talent across the Trafford borough
  • The online festival #OurTrafford runs between 23-30 October
  • #OurTrafford is just the beginning of plans throughout Manchester

A Manchester mental health charity is hosting an online festival to showcase the diversity of culture across Trafford.

The #OurTrafford festival will be the first of a series of festivals and there are plans to run similar festivals in the boroughs of Stockport, Wigan and Bury in the next two years.

This is being supported by the GMCA fund and will have a line-up of social media streams, YouTube videos and podcasts, and people are encouraged to get involved by sharing videos and photos.

The festival is being organised by mental health charity MancSpirit, with founders Paul Ludden and Damian Carr keen for as many people to get involved as possible.

Damian said: “MancSpirit is Greater Manchester’s mental well-being charity, and we know people will find something entertaining, inspiring and encouraging with what’s on offer.

Seeing and hearing what’s already coming through has put a huge smile on my face and that’s certainly something we could all do at the moment.”

Paul said: “This is an excellent opportunity for everyone across the borough to share their talents and take part in an inspirational and positive week of creativity.

Whether that is exploring the festival throughout the week or by sending in some of your poetry, art, music or anything fun and ‘creative’.”

The #OurTrafford Festival is still accepting submissions

They are encouraging individuals, groups and businesses in Trafford to get involved and there is still time for entrants to enter their submissions.
