Wolves pledge to donate profits from Carl Ikeme shirt sales to Cure Leukaemia

  • Wolverhampton Wanderers FC has announced on the clubs Instagram page to donate all profits from the Nigerian internationals shirt sales to the Charity Cure Leukaemia.

The video showcases the printing of the Wolves goalkeepers name onto a replica shirt.

The caption states: “ If you have ‘Ikeme 1’ printed on the back of any replica shirt this season, the club will donate all profits from the printing to cure Leukaemia. #Ikeme1”.

The Sutton Coldfield born goalkeeper has been recently diagnosed with acute Leukaemia after taking blood tests at Wolves pre-season training camp, with further tests confirming the diagnosis.

The shot-stopper was visited by former Aston Villa ace, Stiliyan Petrov who also fought bravely against the disease.

Carl Ikeme has also received support from goalkeepers all over the world, including Man Utd’s David De Gea and Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas.

10% of Wolves opening day gate receipts against Middlesbrough will be donated to the Birmingham-based Cure Leukaemia charity.

All of us at the Northern Quota are hoping Carl makes a speedy recovery.
