Bry Rocks his fans at Academy gig with new songs in set

  • Review of Bry Rocks at Academy 3

Despite the technical difficulties, Bry rocked Manchester Academy 3, returning to Manchester after the success of supporting Twenty One Pilots last year.

Guitar strings broke and a borrowed guitar from support act Say We Can Fly. Bry created a lively and chatty atmosphere with a 13-song set list featuring all the classics from his first album and EPs, plus a listen to three new songs exclusively played first on this tour.

Bry was grateful for his fan base who continuously show up to his shows and the ‘hype’ that surrounds his music has not died out after his accomplishment of his first self-entitled album, BRY.

His new music includes tracks titled Don’t Get Closer, Miserable and Godsend. The songs have a heavy indie rock influence to them instead of the chill acoustic vibe of tracks such as Care and Adventure Time off the first album.

These tracks gave an insight into the sound and future of Bry’s new music with a second album being written and the release of these tracks coming over the next year.

With only two more dates of this tour left, fans of Bry can look forward to updates of his life via Twitter and the release of hopefully album number two.
